NLT College and Career - Getting Involved with College and Career

Ok, you've had a chance to learn a little about nlcc, and at the very least know that we're not a bunch of nerds (well that might be debatable.) However, hopefully you also think that we've got our acts together and are probably pretty cool people. Yet you're still wondering, still not quite sure if New Life college and career is the place for you. After all, what is there for you to do? Is this just some sort of church group where you go and sing songs and listen to someone speak? You're probably sitting there, in that half-comatose state induced by countless hours spent surfing the internet, thinking to yourself, "Why should I get involved in this whole nlcc craze?"
Well, there are about a gazillion reasons, but here's a few:

New life college and career is a great place to meet and make new friends. We're just as interested in you, as we are in God. Just like anybody else, we love to hang out and have a great time. Ski trips to Boyne, card nights at Josh and Sarah’s, and let us not forget parties every time you turn around…there are so many great ways to get to know the people in this group and develop lifelong friendships…just get involved.

Those around us are waiting to see a difference in those who call themselves Christians. We strive to live that difference. NLCC isn't just about singing songs and listening to other people talk. It's also about growing closer to God, deepening our knowledge and love for Him. You can do this in encounter groups, at the gathering or by going on our yearly mission trips. We know this stage of life can be one with a lot of questions and concerns. One thing you should never have to worry about is your faith. There's a place for everyone… just get involved.

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden. But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?" Gen 3:8-9

The question God asked still echoes today, “Where are you?” Some ignore it, some hide from it, some explain it away, some answer “Here I am.” Our goal in new life college and career is to provide you with an environment that inspires you to develop a deeper relationship with God. No matter what you do with the question (you may have unanswered questions yourself), you will be challenged to explore the height, depth and width of the endless love of God. You may find yourself feeling like a small child standing in the warm sand on the beach, staring in amazement at the vast and seemingly endless ocean. You can never explain or even know it all, but you know it’s great and powerful. Go ahead, start your journey… just get involved.
